Should Anyone Be Surprised? Someone Sued the Bible!
I guess it was inevitable; given our sick society, the litigious (people like to sue) environment, and the clear teaching of the Bible. So here’s the deal: a male human being who has chosen to live the sinful and deadly homosexual lifestyle has sued some Bible publishers for printing Bibles that say that homosexuality is sin.
That’s right! Brad Fowler, 39, a man whom the Lord loves enough to tell him he’s headed for disaster, is suing Zondervan for $60 million and Thomas Nelson for $10 million, because it’s their fault that he’s “an outcast” and they have “contributed to physical discomfort and periods of demoralization, chaos and bewilderment.”
I’m not ridiculing this poor guy. He needs help! But this event is serious, only because the court is actually taking it seriously! Yes! I think this is a strategically placed case in Michigan, so those promoting the homosexual agenda can see how it might go. And believe it or not, U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook, Jr., says “the court has some very genuine concerns about the nature and efficacy of [Fowler’s] claims.” That’s chilling!
Although there are other very specific Bible passages that could be cited in the suit, the only one mentioned is 1 Corinthians 6:9 where among those not to inherit the kingdom of God the Bible says: “Neither the sexually immoral nor idolators nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders…” (NIV)
Now you know that the truth has always been there, but I assume it was not so obvious to these people in the less modern or more obscure language. Be that as it may, the issue is this: the court has no business attempting to determine what will or will not be in any portion of the Bible. The Bible does not bow at the altar of political correctness.
We have a lot to pray for don’t we. Pray for Brad; he’s a real person with a soul whom Jesus loves and who is a pawn in a bigger fight. Pray for Judge Cook. And pray for the USA!
God is on the throne and folks are being saved!
Share the Adventure!

Hey Bro. Ruffin,
Nice blog and good article. I hadn't heard of this case yet so I am glad you mentioned it.
Dawn and I were with you up in FBC Lakewood, Tacoma, many years ago!
Hope to hear from you.

It doesn't surprise me that my home state of Michigan would be involved with taking a "serious" look at this case. Michigan is so mad at GOD because of the bad economy involving the auto industry they've added God next to President Bush on their blame list.
Maybe you can now use the email video from You Tube that I sent to you today that goes right along with this blog entry. I don't believe that it was a coincidence that I sent it your way today...do you?

Maybe Brad is really a frog but wandered too far from the pond banks and fell back into the water, decided it felt good and thinks it's a better life. However, his lungs can no longer accept the life that the water used to give through his gills and he's trying to swim without coming up for air. Is it a prick of reality that a life of sin causes him to drown? The evil one whispering in his right ear is maybe in conflict with the good in his left ear. The lawsuit is indeed a battle cry. He just didn't realize that the battle belongs to the Lord. Either way, his cry for help has caused me to pray for him. Brad, if you are a frog trying to become a tadpole just know it doesn't work that way - if you are still a tadpole - I'm praying for your lungs to develop, soon!
