Reach Up - Reach In - Reach Out ... Connecting Kids for Christ!
Our programs focus on children ages K5 to fifth grade. Here's a sample of the programs we have available throughout the year.
TCBC Upstreet (Sunday mornings, 9:00am. - 10:15pm./K5 thru 5th grade - Birkhead Auditorium)
An exciting Sunday School program that's definitely "out-of-the-box". Your child will enjoy a large group Bible time with dynamic music and lessons. From there, they will break into smaller groups based upon age and participate in activities to help reinforce each truth being taught.
God's Kids/Nerve to Serve (Sunday evenings, 6:30pm. - 8:00pm./3 year olds to 6th grade - Birkhead Auditorium)
This musical program is a part of our Life University every spring, fall, and winter and led by our choir members. Your child will start off in a large group in the Birkhead Auditorium with songs and a Bible lesson, and then be a part of a smaller group. They will participate in various music and drama short programs which will be presented in Sunday morning worship. We start back February 14th!
AWANA (Wednesday evenings, 6:30pm. - 8:00pm./2 year olds thru 6th grade - Family Life Center)
A "tried-and-true" program that challenges children with Scripture memorization, game time, lessons on their level, and seasonal activities and events. Awards are given with various accomplishments and the entire season ends with an award program. Please register your child whenever you can during any club meeting.
Upward Due to our calender this year, we will not be offering soccer this spring. Please check back for future events and programs.
VBS (4 year olds thru 6th grade - Coming August 1st - 5th, 2010)
What an awesome time we had this year which included a visit from a real, live python. I wonder if those crickets got loose in the preschool? We're extremely thankful for all the volunteers who prayed and worked hard. The Lord blessed us with several children accepting Christ - that's what it's all about! VBS this year will be August 1st - 5th.
NEEWOLLAH - TRUNK OR TREAT (Saturday, October 31st, 6-8pm - TCBC front parking lotJ
Join us for a sweet evening of fun for the entire family as we turn Halloween around for Jesus. We'll have popcorn, peanuts, cotton candy, caramel apples, bobbing for apples, and visits from "The Promise" cast. By the way, there'll be plenty of candy, too! This year, we had over 1,000 people stop by and enjoy the fun.
Camp KidJam (Children entering 3rd - 6th grades this fall)
We are so excited about camp this year which is July 12th - 15th. If you are interested in attending as a camper or leader, please contact our office or sign-up at the Welcome Center. A $50. non-refundable deposit and registration form is due by Sunday, January 24th.
Father-Daughter Date Night (Monday, June 14th/K5 - 6th grades)
This is a special night for fathers and their daughters to dress up, and take his special girl to dinner. We will all gather at Bisque & Beads in downtown Hickory at 7pm for Dad and daughter to make a necklace. This night will make lifelong memories with Dad. Dinner and necklace are daughter's choice at Dad's expense. Come make a memory with us.
Father-Son Adventure Camp (Wednesday - Friday, June 16th - 18th/1st - 6th grades)
This is a father-son minicamp at Camp Caraway in Asheboro, NC. The cost is $90./person. Fathers and sons will spend quality and quantity time together. This is a great opportunity to invest in your son and do MANLY stuff with them like shooting, air rifles, bows & arrows, canoeing, etc. You know ... manly stuff. Come enjoy this spiritual adventure with your son.
